The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a network of physical objects, or “things,” embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies that enable these objects to collect and exchange data with other systems or devices over the Internet. This technology allows sensors attached to various objects, such as vehicles, appliances, industrial machines, or wearable devices, to automatically transmit real-time data over the Internet without requiring human intervention.

Unlike traditional methods, where humans manually input data through personal computers (PCs) or other devices, the IoT allows for continuous, automated data collection and communication between connected devices, significantly enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making across different industries and applications.
